Fun Times on National Running Day

A few of the Soleful Mamas signed up for a local 5K yesterday evening. It was a small race sponsored by the Chester County Running Store in Southeastern Pennsylvania; just over 100 people ran in the race. Everything was just perfect! The weather, our kids cheering us on (or racing too), the company. The feel-good, keep going mantra for the night: “Sweat is just your fat crying.”

Happily ever after:

Our times ranged from 27 minutes to 37 minutes. We slogged hard, with a jogging stroller (not easy to push up 4 up hills), through allergy noses, with our daughters, and with each other every step of the way.

A big shout out to my dear friends, Endorphins! They made the rest of this National Running Day a happy one. It felt a little like being on vacation with my Sole Sisters. So much goodness and so much fun. And to think, this is just the beginning!
